Product Description:
SN 80 is a Group I light base oil, also known as spindle oil, with a viscosity of approximately 2.6–3.6 cSt at 100°C and minimum 16 cSt at 40°C. This product features a light color and a relatively low flash point, but it offers excellent low-temperature performance, making it particularly suitable for arctic applications.
SN 80 base oil is produced from paraffinic crude oil in the base oil production unit, where vacuum distillates are typically refined through solvent dewaxing.
Applications:
Group I SN 80 base oil can be used in the formulation of a wide range of finished products, including:
- Metalworking fluids
- Hydraulic oils
- Industrial lubricants and applications
- Anti-caking and anti-adhesive agents
- Technological process oils
- Protective and preservative applications
Safety and Handling Guidelines:
These lubricants are formulated with highly refined mineral base oils and specific additives. Under normal use, they do not pose significant toxic hazards. However, all lubricants should be handled with care to ensure safety and environmental protection.
