The S-Plus series circular cutting machines from Tajchem are engineered to deliver precise and dependable cutting of flexible PU foam blocks. These machines can produce a wide range of thicknesses, from large mattress blocks (100–200 mm) down to thin sheets as fine as 1.5 mm.

Powered by a variable-speed AC motor, the rotary table holds and rotates the foam blocks. The slitting head, driven by an electric motor through high-precision ball screws, automatically lowers to the preset thickness after each full rotation, creating uniform stacks of sheets. Cutting is performed by a continuous band-knife blade running on four dynamically balanced wheels, ensuring smooth, clean, and accurate cuts.

Construction

Blade Drive

The band-knife blade runs over four PU-coated, dynamically balanced wheels mounted on adjustable bearing hubs. The system is driven by a geared motor. The 30 mm wide blade passes through a pre-tensioned guide to maintain perfect alignment and stability during the cutting process.
